The following questions are being asked of you
so that the right puppy and the right placement of each
puppy is made by bringing the various requirements
of both the puppy and his or new owner(s) into
perspective, BEFORE a choice is made. I hope
you will agree that the animal's welfare must be my
foremost consideration in considering a placement.
Please answer the following questions as completely
as you can, and return this form when you've

This is "Willow" she
is a blue merle, white & tan colored Sheltie. She was born this exact
color and she will always be this same color of blue. All the white &
tan she has will remain in the same places.

Here
you see Ch. "Zack" on the left and Ch. "Peaches" on the right. They are
BOTH sable & white Shelties. Sable is ANY shade of brown from very
light to very dark. Some breeders would classify Zack as a "shaded sable"
and Peaches as a "red sable". Many pet owners believe that Tyler is a tri
color, that is INCORRECT. His basic body coat is brown all the way through,
and if you look really closely that color that visually appears to be black
is truly a deep dark "sable" brown. The dictionary definition of sable
is "dark somewhat brownish black...having luxuriant dark brown fur " When
a sable sheds, it will shed a light tan hair NOT gray or black. This is
how you can be sure you have a sable & white. Sable & white is
the only color of Sheltie that will change throughout the dog's lifetime.
Even if you purchase a light red sable, it is most certain it will end
up much different as an adult. Zack was a golden blonde as a young
dog, while Peaches was a very dark baby pup and a darker red as a young
dog.
This is Ch. "Chim" he is
a true TRI color. He has a basic body of JET BLACK with only a bit of white
and a tiny amount of tan on his face & legs. He is a solid black all
the way through with a gray undercoat. When he sheds, he will shed the
fine gray hair. A tri color is born black and will remain black.
